I'm surprised to say I enjoyed shotting landscapes more than I thought. As many of you know I'm a people person. I love shooting people- but landscapes proved to be interesting even though I didn't expect them to to be. It was cool to walk around my neighborhood and notice beauty in the oddest places- like the two trees in my neighbor's yard. I looked at them and I saw partership and some weird kind of feeling of like...tree love. Kind of bizarre, actually alot bizarre but it was strangely amazing. I noticed while taking my landscape shots that I took almost all of the portrait instead of landscape. I this may have been because I took all my within a few blocks of my house. I live downtown so traditional "landscape" shots are kind of non-existent. So by taking the shots portrait I was able to capture just what I wanted and not the car off to the side of the stop sign jus to the left. It allowed me to capture the pocket of beauty I found within the streets of downtown. I also noticed myself only taking shots like that one other guy at dawn and at dusk. I totally agree that everything comes alive when the sun goes down. So the majority of my shots are either at night or at sunset. Anyway, I really enjoyed this assignment, and here's some of my favorite shots other than the ones I'm turning in.
