Lauren...panning...and learning

Ah. This week has been one of frustration but also one of massive amounts of learning. Ever since Monday I had been working on trying to get a good panning shot but it wasn't working. I continually kept trying and it just wasn't working for whatever reason....shutter speed or lighting. But finally at the last possible second it finally clicked. I went outside where the lighting was totally killer and just started snapping shots of every passing car and they were working! Ah! It was so exciting. I would like to say I have total control on panning but I don't but Im willing to keep working to get there because I think it is such a cool technique. And one other thing. Seeing everyone's photos on Wednesday was such a great experience. Seeing the creativity and the interpretation of the assignment other people had was really awesome for me and really made me want to just get out and shoot more.
