Annie Liebovitz

Annie Liebovitz is one of the more popular portraitists, if not the most popular, of the past century. She started her career shooting for the magazine Rolling Stone, and recently her work has been shown by The Gap and Vanity Fair. Many of her pictures are icons in mainstream culture, regardless of an individual's ability to connect them as Liebovitz's work. Published in her book Women, is one of my favorite pictures. The subject is Ann Richards, the former governor of Texas.

    I love Leibowitz! Do you want to borrow her book she did with Sontag? It's called Women. I love hearing about your interest in photographers!
