Favorite photos

While we were all working on getting our rule of thirds shots, I got some photos that I REALLY liked.  Now, these are the shots that I thought weren't very good examples of the rule of thirds but they were photos that I got super excited about because I thought they were pretty cool.  Tell me what you think of them.  Do you think they actually are good examples of the rule of thirds?

Oh!  I thought I should mention that the girl is my sister Madeline during band class.  She really liked this picture and I hope you all do too!!

  2. Meredith,
I really like the top photo! Nice exposure! The aperture works quite well, also! I love how the horn is in focus and shiny, but I know there are people in the background. The photo of your sister is fun, but a little strange. It looks as if her (?) hand is attacking her face! I'm glad you are enjoying taking photos for class, keep up the good work!

  3. Meredith, these pictures are awesome. I saw you taking the one of the horn and I was like- that's gonna be a cool shot! Nice work! I think they work perfectly for the rule of thirds. How did you get enough light though? What was your shutter speed? DId you use a flash? (sorry..lots of questions.)
