So, I had so much fun shooting yesterday. I'm still trying to activate my mind. I don't know, I feel kind of like my brain is kind of thinking in the box sometimes but I continue to be so inspired seeing what you guys are doing and it gets me thinking more creatively. Yesterday I took SO MANY pictures of my friend Megan. She is an excellent model and I'm hoping some of the shots worked. I really love shooting people and just trying to capture the essence of them on film....or digital planes I guess! Anyway, I'm really hoping some of the shots worked out. Check out the picture below. I know that its WAY overexposed but we both kind of thought it made it look like an atom bomb was exploding or something. I would like it to be a little less overexposed but I still like the effect. Tell me what you think! I want your opinions!
This is really cool. I like how only the brightest colors show up. It really makes her stand out.

Lauren, this is really beautiful. The photo has an incredible ethereal quality to it. I like how experimental you are! You are not just fooling around; it shows that you are really mastering the techniques and then playing with them! Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteHer eyes really pop in this photo, I like it. Same with her blue shirt, it really stands out, but her other clothes kind of fade with the background, which is cool in a way, but it's still a bit cool. I think if all the clothes were more showing it would make her stand out in the photo I think it would improve the picture, ya know? But I still like the photo quite a bit and it's cool you're being so explorative with the camera, I think I'm going to do the same soon haha. And writing long blogs isn't a bad thing. =]
