When we first started POV I thought I understood it but I soon found out I didn't understand it at all. I thought it was when you shot your subject from different angles, but that wasn't it. POV is when you try and show different sides of your subject, like you're trying to point out the good qualities in them or you try and point out the qualities in them that you want to be known. Also say if you're an object you can show how it "feels", like if you want it to appear lonely you can have it from a distance or you can show what the object "sees" every day of its life. I can't wait to see everyone's photos today during the critique today; I bet they'll be wonderful! This is one of my photos that I kind of like, it's not the best, plus I'm putting it up because I didn't want to put any of my project photos on. Can you guys tell me what you think? And tell me what you think I was trying to point out? Thanks guys! =]

(If you want to know if you were right, I was trying to show that she likes music.)

Thanks for posting Tia. I'm glad you get POV now. It's not an easy concept to get right away. That's why we have taken longer on this assignment than others. I like how you portrayed Brandi. Choosing to shoot her from above adds another emotional element - it makes her feel small to the viewer. (Not in size, in feeling.)
