For some reason I have been having a lot of trouble with lighting in the school. It always seems like I can never get the perfect lighting so everything is just great. Does anyone have any tips? Anyway, I have learned a lot in the last couple days I have been back to school. I didn't know how hard it was to actually get some great POV photos! Hopefully I can get some great ones next week haha. We have a critique tomorrow and I'm excited to see everyones FOV and merger photos. =]
Here's my favorite picture from yesterday, even though I wish I could get more lighting in it. Though, I think it kind of makes him more "bam" ish to me because he stands out more, plus it kind of makes him mysterious even though he totally shouldn't be because if you know him he's just a funny guy to be around and doesn't have a mean side to him at all. Have a great day guys! =]

Umm...lighting. Thats my biggest enemy too. See, I HATE using the flash so Im always trying to find good lighting. You need to find a place with good lighting. The stairs in the foyer is good. The ROTC hallway is excellent and outside is always your best bet. But you can always get more light by having a lower (number) aperture. Make sure you always check that. Then you can slow your shutter speed down, but try not to go under a 50th or 60th. If worse comes to worse and the world crumbles down you can always use flash! =]

You can also try adjusting the ISO. It's fun to play with and can make the color a lot more rich but at the same time can wash everything out.

I totally understand the thing with the lighting. I've just about given up taking good photos inside. So far my best photos are from outside and the pottery room. But in your photo I actually like that the hallwayd is darker. You're right, it makes him stand out more.
