I now understand why people shoot still life. People can be so difficult to shoot! Taking a portrait of a person adds a whole new dimension that you have to take into account. Am I showing an interesting side of the person? Is the picture flattering? I never cared before if a bike looked good. But because of the extra work put into taking the photo I think it makes the end result that much more rewarding.
